DAY 2a - Monumental Memories

Statistics:

Mount Rushmore National Monument started off our Day 2 in Keystone, SD. Did you know your National Park pass doesn't work at Mt. Rushmore because they charge for "parking" instead of admission? LAME. We marveled at how small it actually is compared to how big the movies make it seem.

Apparently it is much more difficult to carve a mountain monument when you don't have taxpayer dollars to waste. Crazy Horse is still under construction. We'll come back in 40 years and see if they've got his arm done.

In an attempt to scale Devil's Tower to Mt Rushmore we took a picture of this thimble. We also played melodic tones to attract aliens but with no success.
